Terms of service
Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms are between you and of ("we") and cover your use of Stacksift at . By using Stacksift you agree to them.
The service
Stacksift analyses bank, card and user-list files you provide to estimate software spending and possible savings. The free audit runs in your browser. Paid plans add saved audits, change tracking and email reminders.
Results are estimates based on your files. They are not financial, tax or legal advice. Check notice periods and contracts before cancelling any service. You're responsible for the decisions you make.
Accounts
Keep access to your email account secure, because it's how you sign in. Tell us at if you think someone else has used your account. Only upload files you're allowed to use.
Paid plans and billing
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.
Plans renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from "Manage billing" in the app; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change, and it applies from your next renewal.
Pro covers one company. Accountant covers any number of client companies you work for.
Acceptable use
Don't try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, access other people's data, or resell the service without our written agreement.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Stacksift available but can't promise it will be uninterrupted. We may change features; if a change materially reduces a paid plan, you can cancel and get a pro-rata refund for the unused period.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on estimates, and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. If you're a consumer, you also have statutory rights that these terms don't affect.
